Brewer Christmas

The Brewer family celebrated Christmas this year on New Year's Eve.  All the Grandkids had a blast and it was so great opening gifts with all the kids.  Ava was just a little spoiled:)  She got some great things.  It was a nice celebration with the whole family!  Merry Christmas!

2011 Wise Year in Review

Seasons Greetings!

It's been a big year for the Wises.  Everyone here is happy and healthy, and looking forward to a nice holiday in Ohio.  Ava is healthy and quite a busy body.  She keeps Marie and I on our toes as she crawls and cruises her way around.  Marie is very happy to be home with Ava.  They stay busy with play dates, Messy Baby, and all of the 12 other activities Marie has going on every week.  My job is going well.  I try to see the sun and breathe fresh air as much as I can.

Ava was baptized over Memorial Day weekend at St. Susanna's in Mason, Ohio.  The three of us made the trek to Ohio, and had a great time with the baptism and visiting with family and friends.

We had a lot of friends get married this year.  We did our best to attend as many as we could and were able to make a trip out of most of them.  We had a great time at each wedding, and are sorry to miss those we couldn't make.

One of those trips was to Florida to visit Nancy in Delray Beach and Brandon, Becky and the kids in Boynton Beach.  The trip was wonderful, as we got to go to the Baxters' wedding in Naples, Bailee's birthday party, and spent the day with Kevin and Lynda.  The trip was some much needed rest and relaxation, and we had a great time.

Ava had her very first lake vacation, to Lake Tippy in Indiana with the Wolfreds.  She loved every minute!  She splashed around in the baby pool and lounged with mommy in the lake.  We have a water baby on our hands.

Our little girl turned one-year old in November.  Both sets of grandparents came out to Melrose for the celebration.  We threw her a party with pizza and cake, and her friends helped her celebrate.

Marie, Ava and I wish you a wonderful 2012, and hope that we can visit and spend time with you.

Yours Truly,
Marie, Cary and Ava

Christmas Day

We started out the day opening gifts.  Santa came to Grandma and Papa Brewer's place in Ohio for Ava.  She loved all her presents, especially the bath toys!  Cary got everything he wanted and was excited about the packaging:)  Once all the gifts opened we got in the car and drove to Louisville for a couple of days to see the extended Brewer family.  Ava was center of attention and had a blast with everyone.  It was a great visit!  We are so blessed to have a wonderful family on Christmas!

Our Christmas Tree

We got a REAL TREE this year!  It was a lot of fun picking it with Ava and Cary.  We got it home and of course decorated it.  Ava had a great time playing with the boxes, hoping one of these years she enjoys decorating the tree and listening to music.  I always had a fond memory of this from my childhood.  Looking forward to passing it on to my kids.  Love those Christmas traditions!

Santa Claus & Ava

Ava didn't really know what to think of Santa this year.  She was ok when Mommy held her and he stood next to us.  At least we got to take some pictures but it lasted all of 10 seconds.  Maybe next year he will be her friend.  Once she figures out what he brings on Christmas then it will all change:)
