Bartlett, NH: First Family Vacation

Thanksgiving weekend we took the girls to the White Mountains for our first family vacation.  We got there Friday night, checked in our ski resort hotel, and then went to dinner at Flatbread pizza company.  Saturday we took the girls to breakfast at Glen Junction where we got to see lots of trains.  After breakfast we walked downtown Conway and checked out the local flare.  All Ava wanted to do was play in the snow, she is our snow lover.  It was her lucky day because snow was everywhere.  Saturday night we went to a delicious restaurant called Moat which also brews their own beer.  After dinner we had to check out the hotel indoor pool.  Reagan loved it and didn't want to get out.  She cried when we had to leave, so she is our water girl.
Sunday we spent the morning and afternoon in Conway again but instead of walking around we went on a scenic train ride with Santa.  On the train we got milk/cookies and got to visit with Santa.  It was a fun ride!  Before heading home we played in the snow again and did some Christmas shopping.  The weekend was a blast and it was so nice to get away for a couple of days.  We think the girls favorite part had to be jumping on the beds in the hotel:)

Thanksgiving Day

We spent this Thanksgiving at home, just the four of us.  Even though no one came to visit us or we didn't go anywhere it was still a busy day.  I decided to run in my first turkey trot around Wakefield. Cary and the girls came out to cheer me on.   It was a lot of fun and felt good knowing that I could eat all the Thanksgiving fixings!
After the race we went home to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade and got ready for our Thanksgiving lunch.  I did not cook this year but instead ordered from Whole Foods so all we had to do was warm the food.  It was perfect!  Once everyone was done with lunch we did a craft, we made a turkey and some ornaments.  Then we were ready for a nap, not just the girls but all of us.  After nap we were invited to our friends the Kittredge;s for dessert.  Yes we had dessert for dinner:)  All in all it was a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We are so thankful and blessed that we have our health, happiness, and love this year!

First Bike

Can you tell by Ava's smile that she is loving her bike?  To bad it's been really cold to ride but when the sun is out she is wants to go ride.  Looking forward to the warmer weather. I 'm pretty sure she is going to be out there almost everyday.

Happy 4th Birthday Ava Mae!

Ava had a very special 4th birthday.  It started with opening one of her many presents which was a princess jewelry set.  Then we headed to the Museum of Science and hung out with some butterflies and played on some fun toys.  After the fun we went to the airport and picked up Grandmom.  It was so great that she got to celebrate Ava's birthday.  Of course it wouldn't be a birthday with cake and more presents.  The big gift this year was her very first bike!  Her face was priceless when she found it.  She is such a sweet, loving, smart, and brave little girl.  We are so blessed that she is in our family!
