Cary's Birthday

For Cary's birthday this year we went to Boston and walked the Freedom Trail with Cheryl since she has never done it while we have been here. It was a beautiful day downtown for the walk, the sun was out & it was a little cool. We stopped at Faneuil Hall for lunch where you can pretty much get anything. Cary and Cheryl stayed to finish the trail the Girls and I went back home. They got to see the USS Constitution, Cary even got to drive it (see below). :) For Cary birthday dinner he requested Border Cafe, which is oh so yummy! He ended his special day with a cookie ice cream cake. Unfortunately, he didn't get to blow out his candles because his beautiful daughter Ava surprised us and blew them out for him. It was a hilarious! I think his wish will definitely come true this year:)

Grandmom Visits

Grandmom came to visit us for a whole week and we did so many fun things with her. I guess you can say we kept her busy. Hopefully she had fun doing it all. I think she would say just as long as she is with the girls. Just a couple of things we did: ate pizza & watched a movie in a very old barn (est. 1636), picked some fruit at Smolak Farms, and went to a park. We had just a great week, it was such a joy to have her here. Ava & Reagan loved every minute and Ava is looking forward to her next trip. As she says, "when Grandmom comes back to babysit me". The visits always go so fast but we are so blessed to have family that loves to visit us!

Reagan's Picnic Birthday Party

On Saturday we had Reagan's Birthday Party with all her friends. The theme was A Picnic in the Park and it was a wonderful picnic. Reagan just stayed on her blanket the whole time and played. She just loved being outside with everyone. I made little bags with toys for the kids to play with while they were there. Each one of them got to take home a mason jar & straw to drink lemonade out of during the summer. We had pizza and then sung, "Happy Birthday to Reagan" which then proceeded eating the delicious cake. Reagan was not thrilled with it once again but that's OK she has time to love cake! It was great celebration and Reagan is truly blessed to have so many amazing and loving friends.
